Radio was a spin off from Geoff's TV work. First came a popular BBC breakfast show, then his own three and four hour interactive magazine style shows featuring celebrity interviews, music and on-air phone-ins.
Geoff has also broadcast from Italy for BBC radio.
A particular specialty is the Vatican, its personalities and history. During the last papal elections Geoff was heard giving detailed insights into the traditions, ceremonies and Vatican procedures.
He has contributed to and presented a variety of other radio programmes. These have included UK parliamentary election features and the documentary A Motley guide to Hocktide, a look at the historical countryside traditions of Berkshire broadcast on Radio 4.
Geoff has broadcast with a variety of celebrities on their shows and when they have been guests on his own shows. He's bantered with magician Paul Daniels and Anne Diamond, former GMTV presenter, but his own shows have had some great names too.
"I loved my time with the late great George Melly, jazz singer and art critic." recalls Geoff, "a larger than life character. Great voice and great stories."
Another favourite of Geoff's was Les Reed, the songwriter who's written hits for Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck and many more. "Now that was great chat with a hugely respected name in the music business. Sadly my celeb chats seemed to be over so quickly. Great memories though."
His radio broadcasting is ongoing.
